On 4 May 2025, our Banani branch held a Canada Application Day, starting at 3:00 PM. Students who were thinking about Canada came in to meet university representatives face to face, ask their questions, and find out where they stood before applying.
Representatives from several Canadian institutions were with us for the day, including Algoma University, Laurentian University, the University of Niagara Falls Canada, Cape Breton University and LCI Group. Each representative sat at their own desk with a laptop and their university’s brochures and banners around them, so students could go from one table to the next and compare their options in one visit.
The branch looked the part. A screen in the room carried the Canada Application Day poster, with the details students came for: scholarships of up to $60,000, credit transfer opportunities, free spot assessment, and no service charges. Maps of Canada and the USA hung on the walls, and the colourful skyline art along the corridor gave the place a lively feel.
The conversations were relaxed but detailed. Students talked through their results, their course choices and their budgets, and the representatives explained entry requirements, intakes, tuition and scholarship options for their universities. Some students came in knowing exactly which program they wanted, and others were still working out whether Canada was the right fit. Everyone got time and a proper answer.
Our in-house counsellors were there the whole day too. They supported the representatives, helped students with their documents, and sat down with those who were interested to go over the next steps, from preparing the application to what comes after an offer. For many students, that was the part that made the process feel manageable.
We would like to thank all the university representatives for taking the time to join us in Banani, and every student who came along. We hope the day gave you a clearer idea of your path to Canada.
